How do you charge an accumulator that does not have a depressing pin in the valve stem (Figure 1)?

ANSWER
The MS28889-2 does not have a spring loaded valve stem in it. Its dual nuts on top open and close the internal metallic valve. The charging kit has a 1/8 npt valve on it which will screw on the top of the valve stem (Figure 1).

Here is the valve stem closed (Figure 2).

Connect the accumulator charging valve. By using 2 wrenches, hold the bottom nut stationary and loosen the top nut. This will open the valve stem (Figure 3)
