Operator gets a buffer overrun error on when running the Sine-on-Sine command but only a dependent PC on a PC per Station network.

PROBLEM

Operator gets a buffer overrun error on when running the Sine-on-Sine command but only a dependent PC on a PC per Station network.  Lowering the system rate and changing the timed-data acquisition activity buffer size has no effect.

ANSWER

Go to Station Manager > Applications menu > Project Manager > Project Options:

Lower the Buffer Size to something lower than the System Rate (Figure 1).

Figure 1 – 793.39 Elastomer Command Sine-on-Sine Buffer Size

The System Rate can be found in the HWI Editor.  To open the HWI Editor, go to:

Figure 2 – System Rate in the HWI Editor

Note:  If you need to change the System Rate you must go to the File menu and select Save after then run System Loader.

Start > All Programs > MTS 793 Software > Tools > System Loader.
